Lynlee - 18 Months Old
Nicknames: Lynnie, Lynnie Lu, Bug, Lynnie Bug, Lyn, Ishy
Weight & Height: She weighed 23.4 lbs at her 18 month physical and was in the 90% for height
Favorite foods: We took Lynlee to the allergist and her tests came back that she was not allergic to dairy. So we proceeded to give her dairy and she started having diarrhea and tummy pains immediately. She obviously has some kind of intolerance to dairy (althougth lactose free milk gives her the same reaction), so we just avoid dairy with her. She is not a picky eater at all. She eats almost all fruits and veggies (with the exception of cooked carrots) and LOVES meat. She does not care for sweets and prefer salty treats.
This child climbs on EVERYTHING with absolutely no fear.

Favorite Drink: Rick milk and water with a few ounces of apple juice.
Favorite toys: any electronic device she's not suppose to have,
Bedtime: 7:00 - 7:30 pm
Wake-up time: 6:30 - 7:00 am
Naps: We just recently got rid of their morning nap. We seemed to be in that in between transition stage for a very long time. Both twins take about a 2 - 2 1/2 hour nap every day at 1 pm.
What she's saying: Lynlee talks a lot more than Cambell and is starting to say phrases and sing some songs. My favorite song that she sings is "Let it go" from the movie Frozen :) She just sings the "let it go" part over and over and over! She says "no" to just about everything, even if she means yes. She is very chatty and seems to constantly be saying something.
How I found Makenna and Lynlee watching cartoons one Saturday morning :)
Latest Accomplishment: Can climb out of her crib, pack n play and baby jail; Eats with a fork (left-handed!); walks up stairs (no longer crawling!); Talking and singing; Pedals her new big wheel; climbs ladder on swing set
Likes: baths, anything outside, pacifiers (although now we are down to only having pacifiers while they sleep!), her 2 blankies, waving good-bye to "sisters" in the morning
Dislikes: losing her pacifier during bedtime, Cambell trying to play with the same toy as her, Cambell biting her, having to come inside after playing outside
Her smile is contagious!

Health: Lynlee had a few ear infections in the fall of 2013 at the same time as Cambell. She also had the stomach flu that went through our house at Christmas and has just recently struggled with a long lasting fever (approximately 5 weeks).
Interesting Tidbits: Overnight she got all of her teeth! She had 16 teeth around 15 months old and we never even realized it because she doesn't fuss one bit with teething! She stills loves to play with my hair and will insist on sitting just so on my lap in the morning or after nap so she can hold on to my hair and twirl it; We call her our lint collector because she will find the tiniest thing (that she knows she shouldn't be able to have) and will come give it to the person in charge :) Lynlee is a creature of habit... things need to be done a certain way and put in a certain place. If I happen to do bedtime out of order or leave something out, she will definitely let me know about it :)
Favorite Book: Lynlee is a very independent reader. And by this I mean that she only likes to read if she is the one that holds the book, she flips the pages and she is the only one that "reads" the words. As you can probably guess, this doesn't work out well when you are a twin ;) She likes touch and feel books and often will grab the tractor and truck books we bought for Cambell. She also likes our "Clifford Barks" book.
Cambell - 18 Months Old
Nicknames: Reed, Cam, Tank, Tiger, Cammers, Junior Boy
Weight & Height: He weighed 28.6 lbs at his 18 month appointment and was somewhere around the 80% for height. They claim that Lynlee is a 1/4 inch taller than Cam but I don't buy it.
Favorite foods: When we switched Cambell to whole milk at 12 months old he started to react to the milk as well. Even though Lynlee can't drink Lactaid, that particular kind works for Cambell. We think he has more of a true lactose intolerance. He is a pretty good eater as well, although his "little" sister out eats him on most days. He eats all of his fruits and veggies and likes meat as well. The one food he almost always turns his nose up to is bananas. He gets really excited to eat pretzel chips dipped in hummus. He also has a thing for wanting to eat any cracker/cereal type item directly out of the bag or box.... typical guy ;) He LOVES sweets!
His favorite toy... the vacuum!
Favorite Drink: Lactaid Whole Milk and we just switched to Lactaid 2% Milk at 18 Months. He also likes water with a few ounces of apple juice added.
Favorite toys: trains, balls, gears, K-Cars, trucks, push car, Kindles, smartphones, playhouse, and he loves to play in the pantry with the boxes, empty bottles and recycling
Bedtime: 7:00 - 7:30 pm
Wake-up time: 6:30 - 7:00 am
Naps: We just recently got rid of their morning nap. We seemed to be in that inbetween transition stage for a very long time. Both twins take about a 2 - 2 1/2 hour nap every day at around 1 pm. Cambell still seems to need more sleep than Lynlee.
What he's saying: Cambell is not a big talker. I was actually concerned around 12-15 months but our doctor assured me he is fine, she said I'm just used to my older girls that were ahead of the curve on talking. He is picking up new words all the time now and probably says around 25 words or so on a regular basis. He is very intentional in his speech. He doesn't just jibber jabber like his sister... although he does like to squeal and screech quite often :) One of my favorite things that he says is he calls Maya "Yaya" and the wild turkeys in our back yard are "gobble gobbles" :)
Snuggling with Maryn... most likely trying to hi-jack her puppy :)
Latest Accomplishment: Climbing stairs on swing set and going down slide; Eating with a fork; Walking up stairs (no more crawling); Talking
Likes: baths, anything that involves being outside, spatulas, pacifiers, getting into the utensil drawers, his 2 blankies, brooms, the vacuum, anything with a long stick or handle that he can wave around and use as a weapon, puppies, the wild life that lives in our backyard, pushing the button to shut the garage door, reading books with Mommy
Favorite Books: Anything to do with puppies, "Clifford Board Book", the animal sounds book from Peepie

Health: Cambell has struggled with ear infections over the last 6 months. He is right on the edge of needing tubes, but we are hopeful that since it is almost summer we can get over this hump and avoid it. He also had the stomach flu with the rest of us at Christmas and just recently broke out in hives all over his body and had pink eye. He tripped in his room and hit his forehead on the rocking chair in September. He had a big gash on his forehead that they had to glue back together. He also seems to get hives a lot.
Interesting Tidbits: He loves the two pirates that sing at the end of the show "Jake and The Neverland Pirates." He always gets an excited look on his face, says "Oh Oh OH" and does a little dance with them. Cambell has had to have quite a few more haircuts than Lynlee, but he got his first official hair cut at the beginning of March 2013. He looks like such a big boy now. He has VERY pudgy feet. Finding shoes has been such a struggle with him, that he has actually had to wear a pair of hand-me-down girls shoes for the last month or so because I can't find any to fit him!
Dislikes: losing his pacifier or blankies during bedtime, Lynlee stealing his toys, Lynlee pulling his hair, Daddy leaving for work, having to come inside after playing outside
It's fun having a twin that wants to get into mischief with you!
The twin bond is an interesting one. People always ask me if they are best friends and the answer is complicated. They get very annoyed with one another and sometimes just seem to ignore each other. But if the other twin is in distress or upset, they will be the first one by their side trying to help in some way. Whenever they "hurt" the other twin, I tell them to say "sorry" and hug. Just recently they started actually hugging each other without my help! It's so cute to see them in an embrace, laying their heads on one another's shoulders.
1st time out in the snow right after Christmas. Cambell loved it; Lynlee was undecided.

A rare and precious picture of the two of them playing together. This has just started happening more recently. Sharing is obviously very hard at this age and it's not easier just because you're a twin. I'm really proud of them though because they play in the playroom while I am on the treadmill (the treadmill is gated off in their playroom so I can see them while they play) and they have gotten really good at playing together rather than just stealing toys back and forth. They sit at the little table next to each other and play Little People and trains almost the entire time.
