Maya - 4 Years Old

All about Maya at 4 years old!!!

Nicknames: Gracie
Weight & Height: Her appointment is next month.
Hair: Her hair continues to grow slowly.  She has had a few "trims" at the salon and she thinks it's great!  Right now she has a medium-short cut with some of her baby curls still poking out from the bottom layer.  Her bangs are sideswept across her forehead and she has light brown hair.
Favorite foods: Popcorn, pasta (plain whole grain rotini with butter), pizza, hamburgers (especially Wendy's) and anything sweet... she has a terrible sweet tooth!
Favorite Drink:  She has finally outgrown her milk allergy so we are weaning her off the rice milk.  Her definite favorite though is apple juice (watered down of course!).
Favorite toys: puzzles, Lego Friends, American Girl dolls, Kindle Fire, stickers, paints, colors/markers, squinkies, or anything her sisters come up with
Favorite stuffed animal: Teddy!

School: She currently attends Little Lions preschool four mornings a week at Echo Hill school with her sisters.
Favorite Books: Pinkalicious, Barbie
Bedtime: We try to start getting ready for bed at 7:30, in bed by 8:00.
Wake-up time: Mornings at our house are crazy this year.  Five little people to get fed and dressed and out the door and only one adult at home to accomplish it all.  I set the girls alarm clocks for 7:40 and they usually get themselves up, get dressed, and brush their teeth before they come upstairs.  This includes Maya.
Latest Accomplishment: Reading!  Just like Makenna shocked me and started reading out of the blue, Maya did the same thing.  Progress is slow going, but she is very proud of herself :)
Likes: helping mommy bake, fancy shoes and dresses, showing off her twins, snuggling & getting her back tickled, screen time, music

Fancy Day at school

Dislikes: being cold (playing outside in the snow is not her favorite activity), eating (she eats and likes food she'd just rather not be bothered by it!), when people catch her singing and/or dancing , boys (except Daddy and Cambell)
Fears: Being left alone... she will even get mad at her sisters if they leave her in the lower level by herself.
Favorite shows: Doc McStuffins, Princess Sophia the First, Barbie movies, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Activities: Maya takes swimming lessons (and is quite comfortable in the water).  She starts soccer this spring.
Health: She has been a very healthy kid.  She had a mild case of pink eye in the fall.
What She Wants To Be When She Grows Up: A baby taker carer :)
Interesting Tidbit: Maya is our shy child.  Her teacher told us that she has a hard time initiating play with other students... no kidding since she has two big sisters that tell her what she's doing every minute when she's at home!  It takes her a long time to warm up to adults and even other little kids, but once she is comfortable she is just as crazy as the rest of our bunch :)
Cute Things She Says:  ramaca (maraca), lasterday (yesterday), aminal (animal), oytmeal (oatmeal)
What We Hear About Maya:  More times than I can even remember we have been told how well-behaved Maya is.  She is incredibly mature for her age.  We've even had people tell us they think she might be the best behaved kid they've ever met... and I think I just might agree!
