Nicknames: MarBear, Mar
Weight & Height: 36 lbs and 40 1/2 inches tall
Hair: If you ask her, she'll tell you she's a blond! She even colors pictures of herself with yellow hair :) But she has light brown hair with natural blond highlights. And it is cut in the most adorable bob haircut right now!
Favorite foods: Hamburger Pizza and anything with frosting on it! She eats just about anything we put in front of her and eats a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.
Favorite Drink: Probably watered down apple juice
Favorite toys: Polly Pockets, Ponyville, Littlest Pet Shops, her new bike
Favorite stuffed animal: Puppy
Maryn's birthday outfit of choice!
Favorite Books: She loves to be read to. She will find a certain book and we read that book (over and over and over) for one week straight. Then she'll get on a kick with another book and we'll read that one (over and over and over) for another week straight. That's just her personality :) Right now we're reading "Surprise Puppy" or "The Life of a Firefighter." She also likes Dora and Franklin books.
Bedtime: We try to have her in bed by 8:00.
Wake-up time: She would probably wake up on her own between 8:00 and 8:30 am, but I have to wake her up about 7:45 on preschool days and 8:10ish on non-preschool days. She does not like being woken up. She will fight me for about 10 minutes or so, but then turns back into her charming, normal self and gets excited for the day ahead!

Latest Accomplishment: She got a bigger bike for her birthday and is mastering riding that. She continues to work on writing her letters and recognizing words.
Likes: playing with Makenna, preschool, gymnastics, helping mommy bake, playing on the computer, Daddy dates, snuggle time with Mom
Dislikes: anyone messing with her hair (thus the short haircut), being woken up, being hot and sweaty, wearing shoes
Fears: Maryn doesn't get scared too often. Every once in awhile we'll hear about a monster in her room, but that doesn't last long.
Favorite shows: Maryn has been experimenting with the "new" (meaning new to us) shows since we got cable this summer. During her alloted TV hour each day she'll try out something different, but some of her favorites seem to be Imagination Movers, Dora, and Wonder Pets.
Health: Oh boy. Where to begin. She had Hand Foot and Mouth disease in June, she was in the ER with a virus that mocked meningitis at the beginning of August and then had a bad concussion from hitting her head on her bed mid-August.
Interesting Tidbit: Maryn has always been our feisty, strong-willed kid. She was always the kid that I would worry about her behavior when we would go somewhere. Not that she was a bad or mean kid, just that she would act up or something would set her off. It is amazing how much she has matured over the summer. I just realized the other day that I don't worry about her listening and obeying anymore when we go places! I'm confident when I send her to preschool, church or other activities by herself that she'll listen and obey whoever is in charge. She still acts up with me sometimes (Ha! That will probably never change!) but she is now mature enough to know when she has to be good! That is a good feeling!
