Below is a picture of Makenna with all of the May Day baskets we made! I thought we handed out a ton and covered our bases but we ended up with more baskets than we made and we have no clue who they're from. Makenna loved it - the doorbell kept ringing from 4:00 until after 8:00 and the girls got so excited every time to run and see what they could find on the front step :)

Happy May Day!
We participated in our first May Day with the girls yesterday! It was so much fun! Makenna and I spent the afternoon creating our little May Day baskets and putting all the goodies in them! Of course Makenna didn't understand the concept of putting them on the door step and running so we just handed them out :) Maybe next year we'll get into the secretive aspect of May Day! It really took me back to my childhood to see all these kids running around the neighborhood with their baskets, ringing doorbells and hiding. I remember having so much fun doing this as a kid. We are very blessed to live in a community that is very family-oriented and still enjoys these old-fashioned traditions!
