Our girls participated in our neighborhood's annual 4th of July parade again this year. There wasn't a huge turnout, but they still had fun. Honestly I think the biggest draw of the event is that they get to ride their bikes and scooters in the street since we typically don't let them. Fun was had by all and they enjoyed the root beer floats at the end :) We spent the evening at the neighbor's 4th of July party and enjoyed meeting many new neighbors and chatting with old neighbors. The rain moved in shortly after dinner and the fun moved into their garage but the girls still had fun playing in the rain :) No fireworks for our family... much too late. We tried last year and Makenna and Maryn were in tears they were so tired.
Makenna and Maryn on their bike and scooter before the parade. Makenna was afraid to ride her bike in the parade (sans training wheels!) since she's still not the best at maneuvering around people or getting started up again on her own. Can't say I blame her. Next year she'll be a pro :)

Maya along for the ride with a beverage :) It was hot!

Waiting for the parade to start!
