Makenna's 6th Birthday

Makenna turned 6 on Saturday, July 17th. She had a great day! She slept in until 9:00 and Daddy made her special blueberry pancakes for breakfast! Then we let her open her presents after breakfast. After doing a few household chores and errands, we filled up her brand new pool and Makenna and Maryn spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool with the neighbor kids. She chose to go out to Red Robin for dinner that night, where they sang to her and gave her a special birthday ice cream sundae. At first she almost looked like she was going to cry when they sang to her, but she claims she loved it!

Makenna opening up her brand new 2 WHEEL (that's the most important part!) scooter! She's been asking for one for a long time! I love how Maya and Maryn are just standing there gazing at the present opening festivities! They did so well letting the day be all about Makenna!

Trying out her new scooter! Despite the fact there was a heat index over 100 degrees that day, she still spent the next hour outside on her new scooter!
